Starting with a base price of Rs. 20 lakh, he fetched an impressive Rs. 1.7 million, making an immediate impact with a remarkable 33-ball-61 against Rajasthan Royals at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

His stellar performances continued into the 2023 IPL season, where he played a crucial role for the Mumbai Indians. Notably, in a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he scored a breathtaking 84 off 46 balls.
